IGN has posted a sweet new interview with my editor Joe LeFavi, regarding the Thrilling Adventure Hour anthology. There are previews of some of the art too, including a couple of my Down In Moonshine Holler pages. :D
I’m super stoked for this book, and excited for my art to have such a broad audience!
Aw shit son, Thrilling Adventure Hour is up for preorder on Amazon! I got to draw 18 pages of unadulterated hobo-fairytale for this sucker, and I’m only one among several kick-ass artists. So yeah, check it out, put it in your pipe and smoke it, etc.
…Now if only I could stop using so much profanity in every promo post. Fuck.

I’m doing a great job of beating myself up over my art, my visibility, my productivity, and my place in the comics industry (that is to say, I mostly feel like I don’t have a place). I’m especially talented at comparing myself to my heroes, and other best-in-the-biz types, and feeling massively inadequate.
I worry that I’m not friends with the right people, I never say or do the right things, I don’t work enough, I don’t produce enough, and I don’t care enough about the things I’m supposed to care about.
I make art nearly 7 days a week, and still manage to feel invisible as an artist.
When am I ever going to impress myself?

Here’s my favorite commission I was able to do at Katsu. Nightcrawler! … Obviously I didn’t have a scanner at my table, but I think I got a pretty decent photo.
Taking a break from work/life/work/life to post a couple of the drawings I did at katsucon. I needed a sample commission to post at my table, so I tried to draw Lisbeth Salander from memory.

Commissioned cover for feels-like-fire’s Skyfall fic, Slow Dancing In A Burning Room.
So I’ve been given permission to post what I’ve been working on all week…. the very first cover to my book for Titanium Comics, Age of Darkness.
While I was given a plot summary and character roster to work with, I was in fact hired on as the writer for AOD, so technically this book is scripted AND illustrated by yours truly. I’m pleased as punch to have been chosen for a project such as this one.
